My sort of wild guess based on general posture and the elevated front legs is Micropezidae. ID help with this neotropical fly would be appreciated! Damp forest edge at about 700 meters elevation. Size not recorded, unfortunately. Date was 8 June 2008. Near Santo Domingo de los Colorados, Ecuador.
