To identify the fat blue ones, you need a good side view of head and thorax. If cheeks brown and beard black (and spiracle brown) it is Calliphora vicina. If cheeks dark and beard red (and spiracle dark) it is C. vomitoria. Compare the gallery pics! A top view isn't helpful. Regards, Sundew Edited by Sundew on 30-06-2008 21:37 |
