Thank you Amalia! I was way off, but now I know where to start. Although, Lonchaeidae may not be easy... John |

Hi Don Fortunatelly this is not too difficult a Lonchaeid to identify - and the first time I have seen a photograph of a species in this genus. With the combination such deep genae (the area under the eye) and hairy eyes it is almost certainly a member of the genus Chaetolonchaea. C. dasyops is the only species so far recorded from Norway and it has long eye hairs - so thats the answer! Would it be possible for you to send me copies of your interesting photographs? ........
