 Very small Sarcophagid

Hello! I know, that there can be large intraspecifical (correct term?) size differences in Sarcophagids, but this was the smallest Sarcophagid (except Miltogramminae) I have ever seen (May-12, at a hedge, northwest Germany). It measured only about 5-6 mm (and seems to have a red tipped abdomen ending). Is it possible to tell the genus? Thanks! Many species in genera in which red tipped genitalia occur, such as Helicophagella, are quite small. Nothing unusual here. Start looking for these guys and you'll see more ! Theo |
