But a curious one. First impression of Siphonini apparently wrong, since the subapical scutellar bristles are not converging. SO next best guess would be some Blondeliini. Theo |

Thanks Gabor & Theo. I was only 51% sure this was a tachinid. It seemed a lot different from the few other tachinids I have seen. Posting a photo of face in hope this may help in a futher ID. Tony T attached the following image:  [141.09Kb] |

It should be easy for a new world specialist to recognize, for one thing because of setulae on the parafacialia I'm not, but I'll give it a try. Theo |
