Can anyone help me with the identification of this fly? Someone suggested it might be a Pollenia. I saw it on February 19th at Leerdam, Netherlands.

Thanx.

There are images of three Pollenia species on http://www.bioimages.org.uk/HTML/T9479.HTM 31 species are listed in Fauna Europaea, 10 for The Netherlands so we've a little way to go here yet. We're all agreed on Pollenia thoughPfftPfft
