Hi Ben Looks more like an Orthonevra to me, hope some real expert can confirm this. If it is Orthonevra, the species should be geniculata given the date. Which is an interesting find in itself. Theo Zeegers |

Yes, I agree with Theo. This is certainly a Orthonevra, and given the date it should be O. geniculata indeed. There is another Orthonevra you can find early in the year, O. brevicornis, but this species has black legs (this one has yellow knees) and rounded antennae, not elongated antennae like this one has! It is indeed interesting because the species is mostly found in swamps. Did you find it there, or in another place?
