Hello, Who could help ID a fly collected from the nest entrance of Bembix rostrata 25 July 2026 South of the Netherlands (Soerendonk)? Length approx. 4,5 to 5 mm. Could it be Senotainia albifrons, a known parasitoid of B. rostrata? Thanks in advance for any help. Thank you Theo. I would say darkbrown to black palpus. See new picture. Do you see enough of the palpus to evaluate its color? Best regards, Annemiek van Dijk

Yes, palpus is dark, so it is S. conica. The most common species. Theo |
