Hello,

I saw this fly in may garden on May 26. in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It was arouns 5 mm, I think.

Can it be determined more precisely?

Thank You
Chris

This can be either Geomyza tripunctata or Geomyza nartshukae. It's a female. The 8th sternite (retracted) should be studied to be sure which of the two species you are dealing with.
