From what I can distinguish of the microtrichia on the wings and the number of setae on the posterior margin of the scutellum it must be avicularia.

It is unusually dark for avicularia, though. It nearly fooled me in believing it was Hippobosca. All my Ornithomyia are completely yellow between the eyes. Theo |
