This little femelle was walking quietly on the outside window yesterday evening. She spent the night in a small jar and survived until this morning.

I wonder if we can go down to the genus Chironomus rather than Dicrotendipes ?

Just realize I forgot to mention the place and the size that could help, sorry.

SW France and about 5 mm long.
