Posted on 17-02-2008 16:54 Hello Forum, one more fly from the alder marshland in Hagen (D) 175 m above sea level. This photo I took on August 27th 2007. The plant in the background is Urtica dioica. This female looks like Tipula paludosa based on the wings are shorter than the abdomen. Here is a key for separating T. paludosa and T. orelacea in North America (both are introduced species). |
