Hi all! How acceptable is it to post observations that are also on iNaturalist to ask for an ID? (i.e. it's encouraged, it's OK, it's unacceptable) If it is acceptable, should multiple images from iNat be posted in the Diptera.info forum, or is it acceptable to include just one with a URL/link to the original iNat observation for the others? Thanks in advance, Darren |

I am doing this since years and I do not see why it should matter at all. This is forum and iNat is an observation platform, and some experts here use it, others don't, so one way or the other might be faster in providing an answer or ID confirmation. One positive thing is, one can use the image urls from iNat to be able to include more than one photo per post. Cheers, Lorin Font Color All requests are from the urban area of Vienna, if not otherwise stated. My Diptera observations (and other living forms) can be found here, and corrections or comments over there would also be appreciated. |
