 Hello,
my pictures were taken on 25 August 2023 beside a lake north of Hannover, Germany. The fly sits on Salix. Is it Bactromyia aurulenta?

 Hello Hans, yes, I think Bactromyia aurulenta is correct - and it's a female.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
