Thanks for the answer, Jan. I compared my pictures with the few in the gallery and on the internet. The halteres seem to be darker in my picture than in the pictures of Paranthomyza nitida and the abdomen appears somewhat rounder. I have attached a size comparison with Hirtodrosophila trivittata.
