This male of the Otites formosa group I collected last week in the south of the Netherlands. I do not find it easy to make a decision between O. ruficeps or O. porcus. Can someone help me out? See the pictures (including genitalia pictures) in the following link: https://waarnemin...273648553/ Best wishes, Niels-Jan Dek |

Good morning, looks like Otites porcus to me (occiput, femora and tibia widely orange) but im not specialist! In O. ruficeps occiput, femora and tibia entirely black. check: Kameneva & Korneyev, 2019 Edit: https://diptera.i...d_id=94711 best wishes Edited by MatsDipt on 28-05-2023 09:03 |

Thanks for your help! I also thought it should be porcus.
