Any chance to name this Microdon precisely?

Approx. 8 mm.

25.5.2023, Germany, Upper Bavaria, forest north of Traunstein, ~600 m a.s.l., coordinates 47.88708, 12.63492

Hi Rupert,

I would call this Microdon analis/major. If you have seen the host ants or pupaea we can try to narrow it down to one of those two.
