Germany, Baden-Württemberg, district Karlsruhe, Karlsbad-Spielberg, garden meadow, on Bellis perennis, ca. 340 m; ca. 8 mm long; Eupeodes corollae, female? Many thanks for the help

I asked, because I find that species mainly in summer (but according to the literature an occurance this early is ok). In (early) spring I find mostly Eupeodes luniger. Like this one, two days ago.

Hallo Jürgen,
thanks for the hints and the comparison - yes, the two are not easy to tell apart. However, in E. lunuiger the yellow spots do not extend to the lateral edge.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
