Hi All I saw this bee today and managed a couple of shot before it disappeared in the wind. I thought it was Andrena fulva (Tawny Mining Bee) but I am leaning more towards Osmia bicornis. Could someone take a look and let me know? Yours Gareth Gman attached the following image: [57.76Kb] |

I took a look there but I am concerned about variation. I checked out Steven Falk's galleries and it would appear that it ia a female Andrena fulva (Tawny Mining Bee), though if anyone has any other ideas, I'd love to hear. Yours, Gareth |

Hello, Andrena fulva female is correct. It's an unmistakeable species. Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |
