Hello! This < 2 mm (without ovipositor) animal ran around at the wall of our house this morning (Ostwestfalen/Germany). In colouration it resembles very much the Gelis agilis in the gallery of hymis.de. But I think, there are others (?). Yes there are others. According to Fauna Europaea there are 68 species of the genus Gelis known from Germany.

Hello, Camille and Jan Willem! Jan Willem wrote: Yes there are others. According to Fauna Europaea there are 68 species of the genus Gelis known from Germany. Thanks! I know that there are many species, but all pictures I had found except those of G. agilis show bigger animals with much more red in colouration (or totally red colour). So there is always a little hope that this special species may be some kind of exception in colour or size and can thus be identified precisely... (the hope never dies...).
