In my garden (N-Netherlands) I recently found at night this Limonidae fly on my sheet. Unfortunately it flew away immediately after I made the first picture. I estimate the length about 2,5 cm, so, first I thought a Tipula. Can anybody help me to identify this fly? Thanks!

My best guess is Euphylidorea lineola that, however, does not reach 2,5 cm. You have that great identification tool "Langpootmuggen en aanverwante families van Nederland, België en Luxemburg" (https://ccw.natur..._2016c.pdf), so check it yourself Smile

Thanks for this suggestion. Thanks for the link to the document! I find it somewhat hard to follow a key on veins in wings when the wings are folded on top of each other ... But now I can continue my attempts in a more focused way.
