The first greenbottles 2008...

...are actually no greenbottles (Lucilia sp., Calliphoridae)! I think, these flies from yesterday (Ostwestfalen/Germany) are Neomyia cornicina (Muscidae), right?
I have also looked through my older photos and realised that most if not all these early "greenbottles" are Neomyia indeed...

Calliphoridae were only represented by many sunbathing (at 5-6 ?C) Calliphora vicina yesterday.
