Hi everyone,

a while ago, I found these pupal skins sticking out of a piece of wood (a ring of a stem, but the bark was already removed so I couldn't tell the tree species any more). After consulting on the Dutch forum of, it soon became apparent that they belonged to Asilidae, and I suspect that it is Laphria flava. Is this correct? Or maybe actually a Choerades sp.?

Thank you in advance!

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
