I keyed this specimen to the genus Exechia, however the gonostylus do not fit any of the species (in Krivosheina 1986 & Ostroverkhova 1969). Am I looking in the wrong genus or is it a species not included in those publications? In yellow pan trap, july 2021, wet meadow in dunes of Cadzand-Bad, Netherlands. |

It could perhaps be pseudofestiva. If you could send me the specimen I 'd be happy to check.

Thank you! The hypopygium of that species indeed looks muchs better than the other species of Exechia: https://sciaroidea.myspecies.info/taxonomy/43378. And thank you for the offer to check the specimen, I will send you an email. |
