Found in Susa Valley, Piedmont, NW Italy, at 1000 mt above sea level, on 4th August 2019. Could it be a Tabanus bromius?

Hi, for me it looks more like the B. autumnalis. De vliegenfamilies met drie voetkussentjes (Zeegers, Schulten) Edited by eklans on 12-03-2022 10:01 Greetings, Eric Kloeckner |

It is too slender for autumnalis female, moreover, the first posterior cell is not converging and the shape of the spots is inconsistent. Without better view of the eye / head, I would not dare to make an identification. Theo |
