Could this be the mine of Phytomyza vitalbae? The host and the underside of leaves are correst but the frass line is not so similar. The frass line of Phytomyza fulgens is more similar according bladmineerders.nl but this species do not occur in Sweden. On Clematis vitalba, 16.10.2021, in the garden, Uppsala, Sweden.
Thank you in advance for any help in identification,
Adam

It is not possible to put a name to mines on Clematis without rearing adult material as other species forms very similar, if not identical, mines.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
