Could this be the mine of Phytomyza vitalbae? The host and the underside of leaves are correst but the frass line is not so similar. The frass line of Phytomyza fulgens is more similar according bladmineerders.nl but this species do not occur in Sweden. On Clematis vitalba, 16.10.2021, in the garden, Uppsala, Sweden. Thank you in advance for any help in identification, Adam Oriolus attached the following image: [164.2Kb] Edited by Oriolus on 20-11-2021 16:03 |

It is not possible to put a name to mines on Clematis without rearing adult material as other species forms very similar, if not identical, mines. |
