Hi to all!
Only for being sure: This is a male of Cynomya mortuorum, right? Or is there any chance to mix it up with something else?

6.9.2021, Germany, Upper Bavaria, at the slopes of Mt. Gröhrkopf near of Ruhpolding, approx. 1350m a.s.l., size about 10-12mm.

Best greetings
Rupert

As long as you stay west of Kyrgyzstan, you can’t go wrong 🤪

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
