Hello,

I photographed this fly near Monte Cagno (AQ), Italy, 2100m a.s.l. on June 27th 2021. I think it is a Tachinidae, but is it possible to identify its genus or species from these photos?

Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

No, unfortunately. These are the only two photos I have.

It looks like a member of the genus Chetogena or Phryxe to me, but I'm not sure at all about that. What do you think?

Note the very long third antennal segment, the wing venation shifted to anterior wing margin ... etc.

I will try to fix the messages this month. We have to make some other configuration changes before software goes out of support at end of year.
