Bibio varipes ♂?

Hi, these ♂♂ were found DE-Franconia, Frankenhoehe Nature Park, old deciduous forest, 2021-05-16.
I used the Vliegenmepper & Verbeke keys and think they might be varipes.
The first image shows these characters:

1: mesonotum black hairs
2: abdomen light hairs - tergite 1 lateral black hairs
3: metatarsus III slightly thickened - length = 4 x width
4: halter light

I'm looking forward to your comments - thanks in advance!

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
