Hi, Yesterday I found this nice small Empis female in a wood 50 km west of Stuttgart, in southwestern Germany. It was very efficiently hiding the rostrum, which made me think of Hybotidae first, but Empis (Lissenpis) nigritarsis should be a much safer ID that will hopefully be confirmed. Thanks in advance, Sundew Sundew attached the following image: [227.97Kb] |
