Hi, Center of France, may 1st 2021, size 2 mm, caught when trying to swim. Is Sciara species a good choice ? Eugene |

Not Sciara which has a different wing venation (R1 is opposite the M fork). I am unable to see enough detail to be able to suggest a genus. This is a family where the species will always be difficult to identify from photos. The distinguishing features are usually microscopic, and simply not visible without a microscope.
