Hello!

Are these 4 mm larvae also from Mycetophilidae? Together with many Proteinus ovalis beetles and larvae (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae) in a mushroom in our garden (northwest Germany) on first Christmas day.

Did you ever tried to see it in obscurity?
Does it glow?

No. I had read of that, but I thought that phenomenon would only occur in some tropical species?!?

Keroplatidae glowing species can be found from Portugal to Scandinavia.
Seemingly more genus does show glow display, like Platyura (Orfelia),etc... Smile
