Tony is being cautious because this is a female, and they do not present many good characters: it is a Chironomus in the largest sense of the term |

Hello, Phil and Tony! Thanks! I know that it's virtually impossible to identify a Chironomid after a photo. There are about 700 species listed here in Germany alone...
