I recently got this beautiful bombyliidae fly in front of my camera in Rhodes. I have a single picture of that taken quite remotely. Can a closer determination be made? 2th of June, 2021.

Dear Gábor! Thank You! I was looking elsewhere. I saw the inaturalist.org observations. It is likely that we have just been on the island so far outside the main occurence period. Thank you Gábor! I'm rewriting the banner. I don’t see any photos of the species in the gallery. I'm sorry I couldn't "carve" a better picture. Also, only 8 specimens were recorded on the inaturalist site. According to them, it is not a common species. Isn't it? Gábor |

It is difficult to know. Few people especially in the South East are interesed in diptera.
