Where can I find a key to Notiphila (or Ephydridae)? This Notiphila was found in a Beech forest in Sweden in June this year. Which species? I can add more photos if needed. /Magnus magnusp attached the following image: [183.39Kb] |

antennae yellow, fore tibiae darkened but basic coloration is not bright black, mid and hind tibiae with dark bands. Face with 3-4 setae. Coloration brownish-grey. Anepistrnum (lateral thorax) with brown band. Abdomen with 4 dark spots on tergites. More likely Notiphila riparia. The only doubt - coloration of mid and hind tibiae. Here it seems too black. |

Thank you for your reply! I will add a few images of the mid and hind tibia. It is difficult to get the right colors in the photos, but I hope they can help. /Magnus magnusp attached the following image: [114.53Kb] |
