Hi, this fly was photographed late July on the west coast of Norway. It looks a little like a Xylota sp., but i cannot find a good match... can it be ID'ed? rgds Geir gedra attached the following image: [138.62Kb] Geir |

Xylota meigeniana would be my first guess, because it looks a bit stout and the wings may be 'clouded'. Let's be very careful though, because there are some similar species and these pics are not excluding them.. |
