Ok a lot of features fits Phytomyza gymnostoma, but some not: sutellum coloration, top of head coloration, the body size - this one at least 1 mm smaller, .... mybe this is male, but speculating. Phytomyza ranunculi (Schrank, 1803) possibly*, female, spring generation, (Agromyzidae); characteristics: upper orbital bristle is missing or short, 2nd antennal segment yellow, scutellum partly yellow, 2nd costal segment long, more than 3 times the length of the 4th, 2 rows of acrostichals. Very abundant species, summer generation predominantly yellow. Ranunculus spp. and Ficaria verna are the larval hosts. * Some sibling spp. cannot be excluded. |
