Habitat: my window sill (which has lots of plants, is rarely cleaned and consequently hosts lots of beetles, spiders, diptera etc)

Can someone confirm or correct the indentification?

Nephrotoma yes, not quadrifaria. A closer picture would be better. I think something close to scalaris

With a big chance it's a Nephrotoma scalaris scalaris

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
