Is it possible with a specimen to say what species this fly is? What do I need to check for L. obtusa, for example. Or even just to confirm the genus? Arista bare + midtibia with strong ventral seta + notopleural depression bare + hindfemur with only some stouter av and pv setae + prealar seta shorter than posterior notopleural seta.....seems to fit L. unistriata (Zett.). Leucophora obtusa(Zett.) should have the hindfemur with more numerous long fine hairs beneath. L. obtusa has the lower margin of gena with several rows of upwardly directed setae, ....what seems to be present on your photo. I don't have L. unistriata in my collection to compare with to check the gena, so ...still a little doubt. To be sure it is L. unistriata, we have to see if the hindtibia has some 7-8 longer fine hairs posteriorly.... and maybe a better view of the setae on the hindfemur....
