I think this is Hydrophoria linogrisea - but I'm not sure it's not Hylemya. A full-resolution crop of the scutellum (or a proper expert Wink) might help.

Thank you, Stephen. Here is an interpolated slighly blurred crop, because it was nearly a full-resolution picture. I hope, but do not really think that the crop can help.
Regards,
Marion

It does look as if the short hairs cover the scutellum without a bald area at the base, so Hydrophoria looks OK.

Thank you for ID with explanation, Stephen. I changed the title.
Best wishes,

I don't think it is linogrisea as the legs are not pale enough. It's a quess, but might be Hylemya urbica female. Really need to see it under the microscope, or a really good photo showing all the setae. The problem with snapping them on a leaf is that one only sees the dorsal view, and it is very difficult to identify anthos from this view.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
