Hydrellia, probably maura or griseola . They are predatory, and this one may have been wondering whether Collembola are good to eat - evidently not! Perhaps the bristles were putting it off?

Thank you Tony! Maybe collembola are not good for ephydrids, but for dolichopodids they are a treat. Either that, or the collembolan above was "green", and the one the doli caught was ripe lolWink
