Muscoidea. Maybe an Anthomyiidae.

Which Anthomyiidae have reduced dorsocentral bristles? This fly has 1.5+2 instead of 2+3. Such reduction is common in Muscidae.

Actually it has 1.5 + 3 dc, the 1st post dc is broken (we can see the hole of the broken seta).
It is an Anthomyiidae for sure (Muscidae with 3 almost equal strong pd on t3 are very rare and different from this fly). As the arista is clearly plumose (and it doesn't seems to be neither an Hylemya nor an Hydrophoria), I guess it is an Eutrichota, but I'm not an expert of the Anthomyiidae.
Stephane.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
