I don't know if it's possible to ID this little dark fly, I hope at least the genus.

Copromyzinae, perhaps Crumomyia.

Thank you Paul!

I saw the Italian Checklist:

Crumomyia fimetaria (Meigen, 1830) (N, S)

Crumomyia glabrifrons (Meigen, 1830) (N, S, Si)

Crumomyia glacialis (Meigen, 1830) (N)

Crumomyia nigra (Meigen, 1830) (N, S)

Crumomyia nitida (Meigen, 1830) (N, S)

Crumomyia notabilis (Collin, 1902) (N)

Crumomyia parentela (Séguy, 1963) (N)

Crumomyia pedestris (Meigen, 1830) (N?)

C. glabrifrons and C. notabilis seem to be the best fit, but I stop here.

Thank you again!

Ciao,
Marcello

The only certain ID you will get is if you kept the specimen.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
