Hello!

First of all sorry for the the (only) bad picture. But is a genus ID possible? Last week in our garden (northwest Germany), only about 4 mm.

Strange shimmer by flash... Frown
Anyway, looks like a Cheilosia vernalis to me. Those can be very small sometimes (but 4mm is somewhat too small, may be more like about 6mm?).

Thanks a lot! 6 mm may be possible, but anyway then it was (one of) the smallest Cheilosia I've ever seen...

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
