France, Dordogne. Mixed woodland/meadow on limestone
3rd June 2012. Size 6mm (ref#17)
Collected from fallen log, reluctant to fly.
I think this is a female Admontia seria
(Hosts are Tipulidae larvae in decaying wood)

That seems OK

As you say, seria is a specialist of Tipulidae larvae living in wood
(both Tanypeza and Dendrotipula).

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
