Photographed this 4-5mm slender fly on 24/03/2016 in Still bay, South Africa. An active hunter of other flies / small flying insects by the look of things as I often saw one with a fly of sorts. Similar to Anaphalantus longicornis in the Muscidae gallery. It may be the female of the species if fore leg ornaments are a sexual character. |
