Maculata or minor?
4.8.17 in Jyväskylä, Finland

According to Nikita (https://diptera.i...d_id=42476, http://www.biosoi...000343.pdf) G. maculata and G. minor are conspecific and the name should be G. maculata.

Kahis told me, that in Finland lives two species: maculata and minor (DNA-differences), and here is rather minor.

Well, Jere is an excellent dipterist, but I wonder why this should be G. minor, given that there is only this one picture. G. minor should have a ad seta on the mid tibia, which I cannot detect (the part is out of focus). Furthermore, the grey middle stripe on the thorax should be much darker than the neighbouring ones (with the dc). I do not see such a difference. However, as Nikita pointed out, these characters are variable, so it seems we have to rely on the DNA alone...

G. minor appears in whole Finland and G. maculata only in Southern Finland. Jyväskylä in in Middle Finland. But despite I use cf.
