Small autumn fly

There were many of those small ( 3 mm) flies in the Bois de Lauzelle (Louvain la neuve, Belgium) this november 22 2007. They were basking on the sunny side of large beech trees in the woods. I'd say Geomyza tripunctata (never saw 'em on trees, though). |

Thanks Kahis. Perhaps they were simply using the warmest, sunniest spots around, which happened to be the tree bark... Philippe |
