Hello,

I photographed this fly in Bazzano (AQ), Italy on February 19th 2021. I think it is a Muscidae, but is it possible to identify its genus or species from these photos?

Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

In image 2 the hind tibia has no Phaonia bristle - so probably Helina sp.
Darkened r-m cross-vein and hairy eyes (image 4) - might be Helina evecta.

Thank you very much tristram! Which features should be photographed in order to confirm the species?
