See for exapmle: https://sites.goo...hoda-sigma also https://www.aemnp..._0_213.pdf Interestingly, if you look at iNaturalist observations for combinations of these genus and species names, the genus convention seems to be common for different parts of the world. Are these two genera simply a big mess right now? If they can be readily sorted, what are the criteria? I know this isn't an identification query, per se, but I didn't find a more appropriate place to post this question. |

Jezek has splitted Psychoda into many genera. I do not follow that, in stead I use those splits as subgenera.

And they have awful names like Psycha, Psychoda, Psychodocha, Psychodula, Psychomora, Apsycha, Ypsychoda... |
